Project Lemon Tree supported Kahauiki Village, a plantation style community development in Honolulu designed to house Hawaii’s homeless families, with a dozen lemon trees today. Key folks on site to plant the trees included Duane Kirisu, Steve Masur, Allen Kamemoto and Steve Sue.
Inspired by the plantation lifestyle of Hawaii’s past, a partnership with members of the public and private sectors joined forces to address the need for long-term and permanent affordable housing for local homeless families.
