Project Lemon Tree Activities have been aligned to elementary and secondary Common Core State Standards (“CCSS”). CCSS for elementary (K-2nd and 3rd-5th grades) includes Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening and Mathematics. CCSS for secondary (6th-12th grades) includes Literacy, Writing, Speaking and Listening, and Science and Technical. This curriculum system is designed to be accessible to students at various levels of skills, abilities and English Language Proficiency. Partition shapes into parts with equal areas. Express the area of each part as a unit fraction of the whole. For example, partition a shape into 4 parts with equal area, and describe the area of each part as 1/4 of the area of the shape.

Grade 4: Draw and identify lines and angles, and classify shapes by properties of their lines and angles.
